Max Scale
Max Scale is the AI co-worker in Scale Platform. Max reads the organization’s profile and materials, each project’s details, files and evidence, and the portfolio’s maturity model, and uses them to evaluate progress, record evidence, plan and answer questions.
Where you meet Max
Section titled “Where you meet Max”- The sidebar. The Max Scale entry at the bottom opens the chat. Open a project first: Max works inside a project, and can switch projects on request.
- Plan with Max in an objective dialog: a conversation scoped to that objective.
- Reassess evidence with Max from a project’s Files tab: Max reads the selected files against the whole maturity model and proposes changes.
- Project creation from materials: the same assessment, on a new project.
- Suggest targets in an objective dialog: validation criteria for it.
- Fill empty fields on the organization profile: a draft from your website and materials.
- Microsoft Teams and Slack. The same Max, in direct messages. See Max in Microsoft Teams and Max in Slack.
What Max can do in a conversation
Section titled “What Max can do in a conversation”| Record evidence | Write evidence notes on objectives and move cards on the Planning board, on your instruction. |

What Max reads
Section titled “What Max reads”Max sees what you see, and nothing more. Files linked from Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Slite, Notion or Confluence are read through your own account, so Max can only read what you can open. Office documents are read as PDF, wiki pages as text. Max fetches content when it needs it and stores no copies.
What Max keeps is a short classification of each file, not the file. It records the kind, the dates covered, language, length, what it is evidence for, and a one-line note of what it is for. Max is told not to write a person’s name into that note, and a note that names one is dropped before it is stored. The classification is deleted with the file. You can see it, and add guidance of your own, from Details on the Files tab — see What Max records about each file.
What Max never does on its own
Section titled “What Max never does on its own”- Max never changes a maturity score. A reassessment ends in a list of proposed changes that you accept, edit or reject one by one.
- Max never completes, edits or deletes an action.
- Max never invents when the sources are silent. The organization-profile draft and every assessment leave a field empty rather than guess, and every proposed note cites the page or slide it came from.
