Business case
Every project carries a business case: the figures that turn its maturity into a portfolio-level view of potential and cost. They live on the project’s Business Case tab. All monetary values use the organization’s display currency.
Potential market

| Business model | Whose problem you are solving: B2B or B2C. |
| Estimated market size (Customers) | The total addressable market, as a count of customers. |
| Revenue per customer (ARR) | Annual recurring revenue per customer. |
| SAM % of TAM | The share of the total market you can actually reach. |
| SOM % of SAM | The share of the reachable market you can realistically capture. |
| Business potential | The third-year revenue estimate after reaching product-market fit. |
| Rationale for the business potential | How you arrived at the figure. |
Expenses
Section titled “Expenses”| Field | Meaning |

| Budget | The project’s budget. |
| Cost/work hour | The hourly cost used for team cost. |
Where the figures show up
Section titled “Where the figures show up”- Business Potential on the project overview.
- Monthly team cost on the project overview: full-time equivalents from the team’s allocations, times the hourly cost, times 160 hours a month.
- Potential, Budget and Team Cost columns in the portfolio’s project list.
- Total Potential and Validated Potential on the portfolio dashboard, where each project’s potential is weighted by its maturity score.
Changes to the business case are recorded on the project’s Timeline.
