Portfolio access

Portfolios are public by default: everyone in the organization sees the portfolio and its projects, and members can create projects in it. A private portfolio is visible only to the people added to it. Only administrators change this.

  1. Open Organization settings › Portfolios and open the portfolio.

  2. Choose the Access tab and select Private portfolio.

  3. Confirm with Make private. You are added as the first member.

  4. Under Members, click Add people and pick from the organization.

Members of a private portfolio see it in the sidebar with a lock, and can create projects in it. Everyone else does not see it at all. Remove a person with the trash icon on their row; they lose access to the portfolio and all its projects.

An administrator who is not a member does not see the portfolio’s projects either. On the Access tab, Add me as a member grants access; the action is recorded in the audit log with you as both grantor and recipient.

On the Access tab, select Public portfolio and confirm with Make public. The members list is kept but no longer restricts anything.

Under the portfolio’s Settings tab. A portfolio with projects cannot be deleted; move or delete the projects first.
